UFC Apex Renamed Meta Apex: A New Era in Combat Sports Technology

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced a significant partnership with Meta, renaming its in-house arena in Las Vegas to Meta Apex. This five-year naming-rights agreement, revealed by UFC CEO Dana White on January 14, 2026, marks a deepening of the existing technology partnership between the two organizations, which began in 2025. As part of the deal, Meta becomes the official “Fan Technology Partner” of the UFC, aiming to revolutionize the way fans experience live fights.

According to White, the integration of Meta’s technology will “transform how fans experience live fights” at the Meta Apex, which is located next to the UFC headquarters and the Performance Institute in Enterprise, Nevada. The arena, which has been central to the UFC’s schedule since its opening in 2019, has hosted nearly 200 events, including over 100 Fight Nights, Dana White’s Contender Series, The Ultimate Fighter bouts, and UFC BJJ shows. Meta CMO Alex Schultz emphasized that the partnership will “redefine how fans and athletes connect and experience the sport,” with a focus on deeper integration of Meta hardware and software on site.

Upgrades and Renovations

As part of the partnership, TKO Group is upgrading the Meta Apex, with renovations scheduled for completion later in 2026. The upgrades will expand the arena’s capacity to approximately 1,000 fans, add improved concessions and merchandise areas, and overhaul the entrance, lobby, and ticket box office. Notably, tickets to all events at Meta Apex will now be available to the general public, shifting the venue from a mostly studio environment to a small but open arena model.

The naming-rights deal is valued at a significant amount, although the exact figure has not been disclosed. The partnership is expected to generate substantial revenue for the UFC, with Meta’s technology and branding set to be integrated throughout the arena. According to a report by Sporting News, the deal is seen as a major coup for the UFC, with Meta’s involvement expected to enhance the fan experience and increase engagement.

Enhanced Fan Experience

At the heart of the partnership is the goal of creating a more immersive and engaging experience for fans. Meta’s technology, including VR headsets, smart glasses, and AI features, will be integrated throughout the arena, allowing fans to interact with the events in new and innovative ways. White has highlighted the potential for interactive VR viewing and on-site use of smart glasses, which will enable fans to experience the action from multiple angles and perspectives.

According to a report by MMA Fighting, the partnership will also see the introduction of dedicated activation spaces where fans can try out Meta’s technology, including VR experiences and wearable tech. This will not only enhance the fan experience but also provide a unique opportunity for fans to engage with the UFC and its athletes in a more immersive and interactive way.

The UFC Apex is Now the Meta Apex

In conclusion, the renaming of the UFC Apex to Meta Apex marks a significant milestone in the partnership between the UFC and Meta. With a focus on enhancing the fan experience through technology, the partnership is expected to revolutionize the way fans engage with combat sports. As the UFC continues to push the boundaries of innovation and entertainment, the Meta Apex is set to become a hub for immersive and interactive experiences, providing a unique and unforgettable experience for fans and athletes alike.
