Dana White Shuts Down Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler Fight for UFC White House Card

Dana White, the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), has expressed no interest in booking a fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler for the upcoming UFC White House card. Despite both fighters previously confirming their intention to face each other on June 14, White has shut down any possibility of the fight happening.

McGregor and Chandler were initially scheduled to headline UFC 303, but the Irishman pulled out due to a toe injury. Chandler went on to fight twice, losing both times. Meanwhile, McGregor has not stepped into the octagon since his leg injury at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier in 2021. When asked about the potential fight, White stated, “No. That was a couple of years ago.” This statement suggests that the UFC is no longer interested in pursuing the matchup.

White also expressed uncertainty about McGregor’s return to the sport, saying, “We will see if Conor is gonna come back or not. We have been talking about it for a while. We will see how it plays out. I don’t know, though.” This comment has sparked speculation about McGregor’s future in the UFC.

In response to White’s comments, McGregor took to social media to express his willingness to fight anyone on June 14. He posted, “Pick who ya want! The Mac sweats nothin and nobody.” This statement suggests that McGregor is ready to face any opponent and is not limited to a specific matchup.

In another post, McGregor wrote, “You can run, but you can’t hide. Fact.” This message appears to be a warning to his potential opponents, implying that he is ready for a challenge.

As the situation unfolds, fans and pundits alike are eagerly awaiting the announcement of McGregor’s next fight. With his return to the octagon still uncertain, one thing is clear: Conor McGregor is ready to put on a show. The question remains, who will be his next opponent?
