McNeil’s Career and Versatility
McNeil, who turns 34 in April, has had a remarkable career since being drafted by the Mets in the 12th round in 2013. Despite his contributions, the Mets have decided that McNeil is not part of their plans for 2026, having acquired Marcus Semien to play second base and signed Jorge Polanco to play first base.
