Samson Nacua, Brother of Rams Wide Receiver Puka Nacua, Won’t Face Charges in Alleged Vehicle Theft
LOS ANGELES — Samson Nacua, the brother of Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, will not be charged after his arrest last month for allegedly taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, according to a report by ABC7 in Los Angeles on Thursday. The incident occurred in December when Samson Nacua and another man, Trey Rose, were arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) for allegedly stealing a car belonging to Los Angeles Lakers forward Adou Thiero.
However, it was revealed that Samson Nacua believed the vehicle in question was his brother Puka’s car, as it was similar in model and color to Thiero’s vehicle. As a result, Thiero decided not to press charges, officials told ABC7. The LASD’s West Hollywood Station confirmed that the case has been closed due to the misunderstanding.

Statement from Samson Nacua’s Attorneys
Samson Nacua’s attorneys, Jason Lampert and Michael Goldstein, released a statement saying, “This matter arose from a misunderstanding involving a vehicle and was promptly dismissed after review by the LASD’s Office. The case is now closed.” The statement reflects the resolution of the incident, which was reportedly a result of mistaken identity.
Samson Nacua’s Football Career
Samson Nacua has a background in college football, having played for both the University of Utah and Brigham Young University (BYU). Recently, he was drafted by the United Football League’s (UFL) Birmingham Stallions. However, in April, the UFL suspended Nacua for one game due to an incident where he slapped a fan while playing for the Michigan Panthers.
The resolution of the alleged vehicle theft case brings closure to the incident, and Samson Nacua can now focus on his football career. The UFL and its teams, including the Birmingham Stallions, have not commented on the matter. As the football season progresses, fans will be watching to see how Samson Nacua performs on the field.
