Tracy Cortez Opens Up About Her Favorite Foods and Recent Split

Tracy Cortez, the 32-year-old flyweight mixed martial artist, recently sat down with MMA Fighting’s José Youngs for a candid interview. Cortez’s love for sweets is evident, as she mentioned that her favorite pastry is a chocolate croissant. She also expressed her fondness for tamales, specifically “rojo,” and soft tacos. When it comes to candy, Cortez is currently obsessed with Sour Patch, and her go-to ice cream flavor is Oreo. “I’m really into Sour Patch. I actually love sweets, but lately, I’ve been really into like soury candy. Oreo. Oreo ice cream. [Is my favorite ice cream flavor],” she said.

A video of the interview is available, where Cortez shares more about her favorite foods and other interests. Apart from discussing her eating habits, Cortez also talked about her favorite shoes, books, movies, and hobbies, giving fans a glimpse into her life outside of the octagon.

Recent Fighting Form and Career Highlights

Cortez’s recent fighting form has been a mixed bag. She suffered a submission loss to Erin Blanchfield at UFC 322 in November 2025. However, before that setback, Cortez secured a victory against Viviane Araujo at UFC 317. With a professional MMA record of 12-3, Cortez has notable wins over opponents like Rose Namajunas, Jasmine Jasudavicius, and Araujo, among others.

Dana White Reacts to Alex Pereira and Tracy Cortez’s Split

Earlier this year, fans were surprised to learn that Alex Pereira and Tracy Cortez were in a relationship. The two-time and current UFC light heavyweight champion, Pereira, even announced plans to tie the knot with Cortez just days after the news broke. However, their relationship was short-lived, and Pereira recently announced that they have decided to go their separate ways.

UFC CEO Dana White was asked about his thoughts on the split, and he responded, “I don’t give a sh*t. I don’t care. That sounds like gossip sh*t… They are grown men and women. They can do whatever they want.” White’s comments reflect his focus on the sport rather than the personal lives of his athletes.

While Cortez’s personal life may be making headlines, her skills in the octagon remain a topic of interest for fans and pundits alike. As she continues to navigate her career and personal life, Cortez remains a prominent figure in the world of mixed martial arts.
