Paul revealed that he had two titanium plates inserted on each side of his jaw and had teeth removed as a result of the injury. He also shared an X-ray of his jaw, which showed two fractures caused by Joshua’s powerful punches. The injury was so severe that Paul was spitting blood out of his mouth after the fight.

Recovery and Future Plans

Despite the severity of the injury, Paul is expected to make a full recovery and is already looking to the future. According to Most Valuable Promotions CEO Nakisa Bidarian, a broken jaw is a common injury in sports, particularly in boxing and MMA, and the recovery time is typically four to six weeks. Paul has stated that he will take a break before plotting his next fight, but he is determined to return to the ring and is eyeing the cruiserweight world title.

Paul has boxed most of his career at 200 pounds but stepped up to heavyweight to face Mike Tyson last year and then Joshua. He has insisted that he will return to his natural weight class and compete for the cruiserweight title. With his determination and resilience, it’s likely that Paul will make a successful comeback and continue to be a force to be reckoned with in the boxing world.

Expert Insights and Analysis

Boxing experts and analysts have weighed in on Paul’s injury and his future prospects. Many have praised Paul’s bravery and determination, while also acknowledging the risks and challenges associated with boxing. As Paul recovers and prepares for his next fight, he will undoubtedly be working with his team to develop a strategy that takes into account his injury and his goals for the future.

For now, Paul is focused on his recovery and is grateful for the support of his fans and medical team. As he looks to the future, one thing is certain – Jake Paul will be back in the ring, and he will be ready to take on the best of the best in the boxing world.
