TGL Match Recap: Los Angeles Golf Club Edges Out Jupiter Links
Jupiter Links Golf Club played their second consecutive TGL match on Tuesday night, facing off against Los Angeles Golf Club at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The team’s bid to avoid starting the season 0-2 for the second year in a row was unsuccessful, as Los Angeles emerged victorious with an 8-4 score.
The Los Angeles team, comprising Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa, and Sahith Theegala, with Tommy Fleetwood sitting out, took on Jupiter Links’ active players, Max Homa, Kevin Kisner, and Akshay Bhatia, while Tiger Woods and Tom Kim were inactive. The match was closely contested, with several notable moments that ultimately led to Los Angeles’ win.

Los Angeles took an early 2-0 lead after a successful hammer throw on Hole 2. Theegala’s impressive second shot put the team within 17 feet of the hole, while Jupiter Links was still nearly 60 feet away. Rose’s missed 17-foot putt gave Jupiter Links a chance to tie, but Bhatia narrowly missed an eight-foot putt, securing the lead for Los Angeles.

Rose’s Historic Albatross
Justin Rose achieved one of golf’s rarest feats on Hole 10, logging an albatross to win the hole and give Los Angeles a 5-1 lead. To record an albatross, a player must hole out three shots under par. In this case, Rose sank the ball on his second shot of a Par 5 hole.
